Stone Gallery turns Fashion Studio for one night only

On Sunday 3rd March, a Camberley business will be playing host to a charity fashion show as part of its pledge to raise £5,000 for local charity KatCanDo in 2013.

Natural Stone Floor

Stone Gallery will open its doors at 6pm with the models strutting their stuff down the catwalk from 6.45pm, with the beautiful natural stone that is on display in the showroom providing the perfect backdrop. Models will be showcasing the wears from local ladies fashion boutique, Enigma and male clothing store, You? whilst their hair will be done by Glo Hair Salons.

All of those taking part responded to a call-out for people to give up their free time, without payment, to model at the fashion show, meaning that every penny raised will be going directly towards the charity.

Tickets are £10 in advance, available from The Art of Living Group, which incorporates Stone Gallery, Ceramic Tile Warehouse and Park Street Interiors, situated at the end of Bridge Road, Camberley as well as Engima and Glo. Some tickets will be available on the night for £12. Drinks and canapés will be served on arrival. There will also be a raffle at the end of the evening.

KatCanDo is a local charity which aims to improve the treatment and care of cancer patients in the Surrey and Hampshire area. The charity was set up by the late Kate Coles in 2004, who sadly passed away in 2006 due to colon cancer. However, 14 people, all close friends and family of Kate, have continued the charity in her memory. KatCanDo helps organisations such as Frimley Park Hospital, St Luke's Cancer Centre, and the Phillis Tuckwell Hospice to purchase equipment and services not always provided by the NHS.

Clive Blythe, Managing Director of the Ceramic Tile Warehouse said: "I am delighted that we are hosting this fashion show for such a worthwhile cause. I really do hope that the local community will support us to raise the money. Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way, shape or form so it is something that may affect us all.

"I am thrilled with the response we have had, following our call-out for models and I hope that we receive the same level of enthusiasm with regard to attendance at the actual fashion show. On behalf of everyone at The Art of Living, I would like to thank Enigma, You? and Glo for their support. I am really excited about the night itself and look forward to welcoming everyone through the door."
